Deactivate License

If You Have Access to the Software:
  • Open PAVER on the computer where the license is activated.
  • Navigate to the license management or activation section, typically found in the software’s settings or help menu.
  • Look for an option like “Deactivate License” or “Release License.” Select it and follow the prompts to confirm deactivation.
  • Ensure you’re connected to the internet, as deactivation may need to communicate with the licensing server.
If You Don’t Have Access to the Original Computer:
  • Since PAVER restricts deactivations and ties licenses to specific machines, you may need to contact the PAVER support team for assistance.
  • For U.S. Government users, reach out to George VanSteenburg at George.W.VanSteenburg@usace.army.mil with your activation details.
  • For non-government users, contact the appropriate Software Distribution Center or PAVER support through Colorado State University’s PAVER program (check www.paver.colostate.edu for contact details).
Back Up Paver Data
  • Copy the database file(s) (e.g., .e70 files) to an external USB drive or cloud storage (like OneDrive or Google Drive).
  • To be safe, also export any critical data within PAVER (check the “File” or “Export” menu for options like Excel or CSV backups).

Import Paver Data
  • Take saved data from old machine and past directly into C: drive
